The constraint
Wellness operators in Australia, New Zealand and Asia had no place that read the industry from their side of the counter. Trade media covered product launches and funding rounds; nothing translated a bankruptcy filing, a bid for a Pilates chain or a hybrid-racing boom into a decision a studio owner could make this month. The gap was not information. It was interpretation on a schedule anyone could rely on.
What we built
Plexo built the publication from an empty domain: name, masthead, visual system and a layout that reads like a broadsheet rather than a feed. Underneath it sits a repeatable production system — a weekly brief, a lead story, five named sections, and a fixed set of story shapes (The Brief, The Signal, Playbook, Teardown, Deep Dive) so the same material can be written, edited and shipped every week without reinventing the format. Each piece is written to a length a busy operator finishes, with the source named and the number cited.
The outcome
Issue one shipped in the week of 2 November 2026 with 23 published stories across News, Playbooks, Teardowns, Analysis and By the Numbers, led by a deep dive on why consumers no longer believe their wellness spending is working. The masthead carries 'Powered by Plexo', and the publication runs its own Instagram channel as a second distribution surface. The point is not the piece count — it is that the system holds: the same rhythm, the same formats and the same standard, week after week.
