How to create 6 months of content in one morning.
Most brands do not have a content problem. They have a production problem. Here is the four-hour framework we use to build a six-month content bank in a single morning: ideation, capture, edit system, calendar.
Ask a founder why their content is inconsistent and you will hear the same answer: no time. That is rarely the real problem. The real problem is that they are making content one piece at a time, which means they pay the full setup cost every single time they post.
A content bank changes the economics. You pay the setup cost once and draw down for six months.
Where brands go wrong building a content bank
What most brands do
- Film one piece at a time, in the gaps
- Decide what to say on the day of the shoot
- No shot list, so half the footage is unusable
- Every edit is a fresh set of decisions
- Footage sits in a folder and never ships
What a content morning does
- One block, one location, one setup cost
- Twenty hooks written before the camera comes out
- A printed shot list that gets ticked off
- Templates that turn editing into assembly
- Calendar filled before anyone leaves the room
The four-hour running order
- 01
Ideation | 45 minutes
Five pillars: proof, education, objection, behind the brand, offer. Four angles under each, written as hooks a stranger would stop for, not topics for your team. Twenty ideas on a page before anyone picks up a camera.
- 02
Capture | 2 hours
Batch by format, never by idea. Block A is ten talking-head hooks wide. Block B is ten more, tighter frame, different outfit. Block C is a B-roll bank. Block D is stills. You are not making twenty videos, you are making four blocks of footage.
- 03
Edit system | 45 minutes
Lock caption style, first frame, cut rhythm, end card and file naming once. After that, editing is assembly, which means it can be handed to a junior or an external editor without quality drifting.
- 04
Schedule | 30 minutes
Three posts a week for 26 weeks is 78 slots. Fill 60 from the bank and leave one reactive slot each week. A bank that is not scheduled is not a bank, it is a folder.
- 4h
- One morning, start to finish
- 60+
- Assets in the bank
- 6
- Months of posting covered
Why batching beats effort
Lighting, location, outfit, energy and mindset all reset every time you shoot. That reset is the expensive part, not the filming. Pay it once and your cost per asset collapses. It is the same logic that makes a production line beat a workshop.
Consistency is not a discipline problem. It is a supply problem. Fix supply and consistency stops requiring willpower.
The hooks are the whole game
If you take one thing from this framework, take the ideation rule: never write a topic. Write the sentence that appears on screen. Name the person, lead with the tension, say the number. If the line could be posted by any brand in your category, cut it and write another.
